Our Mission

To initiate, support, and advance the arts and cultural activities in Iredell County—connecting people through creativity and celebrating the diverse voices that make our community unique.

The woman on the left has dark hair, a gray dress, and a badge. The woman on the right has blonde hair, glasses, and is wearing a light gray top. There are colorful posters and a flower pot with red and yellow flowers on the table.
Our Vision

To build community through the arts—one connection, one performance, and one creative experience at a time.

The Iredell Arts Council serves as the heart of artistic expression in our community. From classrooms to concert halls, murals to film festivals, we connect people through the shared language of creativity.

We believe that art makes life better—that when individuals are moved, inspired, or uplifted by art, that energy spreads across the community, creating a more vibrant and connected place to live.

Our commitment is simple:

  • Accessibility: Everyone deserves access to the arts, regardless of background or experience.

  • Representation: Our programs reflect the rich diversity of Iredell County.

  • Community: The arts can open doors to engagement, empathy, and prosperity for all.
