Mitchell Community College Art Students Showcase Talent at Annual Exhibition

Statesville, NC (April 1, 2026) — The Iredell Arts Council proudly hosted the Mitchell Community College Student Art Show on April 1, 2026, celebrating the creativity and dedication of emerging artists from Mitchell Community College.

The exhibition, presented by the Mitchell Community College Art Department under the leadership of Department Chair Rogelio Calvo and Instructor Paul Farmer, featured a diverse collection of student work spanning drawing, film, design, and three-dimensional art.

Family members, faculty, and community supporters gathered at the Arts Council to recognize the students’ accomplishments and experience the breadth of artistic talent being cultivated within the college’s art program.

As part of the evening’s celebration, scholarship funding provided by Kewaunee Scientific was awarded to several student artists, recognizing their artistic excellence and supporting their continued education and creative development.
