Sierra Carson Brings Intimate Indie Folk to the Old Jail Listening Room
The Iredell Arts Council is excited to welcome rising indie folk artist Sierra Carson to the Old Jail Listening Room on Thursday, May 14.
At just 23 years old, the Nashville-based singer-songwriter is quickly gaining attention for her introspective songwriting and unique blend of folk and R&B influences. Inspired by artists like Joni Mitchell and The Lumineers, Sierra’s music combines alternate guitar tunings, poetic lyricism, and honest storytelling that explores topics ranging from relationships to religion and public policy.
Her music has earned recognition online from artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan, Finneas, and Sabrina Carpenter. Since moving to Nashville in 2021, Sierra has collaborated with Grammy-nominated producers and performed at AmericanaFest, Bluebird Cafe, and Tin Pan South.
Following a busy year of touring and the release of her sophomore EP Too Gone To Get To, Sierra brings her intimate songwriting style to the Old Jail Listening Room for a special evening of original music.
