Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band to Headline the 2026 Statesville Heritage Festival
Get ready to dance! The Iredell Arts Council is excited to announce that Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band will headline the 2026 Statesville Heritage Festivalon Saturday, August 1, closing out a full day of music, dance, and cultural celebration at the Statesville Event Center.
Known for their electrifying live performances, Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band has spent more than two decades bringing high-energy funk to audiences across the country. Formed in Boone, North Carolina, before becoming synonymous with Asheville's vibrant music scene, the band has performed in 49 states, released multiple studio and live albums, and built a devoted following with their infectious grooves and unforgettable stage presence.
Now entering a new chapter, the band returns with original members Josh Phillips and Gregbob Hollowell, joined by Andre Lyles on bass and Claude Coleman Jr. (Ween) on drums. Fans can expect the same legendary funk-fueled party with an exciting new lineup.
The Heritage Festival celebrates the many cultures, traditions, and artistic voices that make our community unique. Throughout the day, visitors will enjoy live performances representing a wide variety of musical styles and cultural traditions before the festival culminates with an energetic headline performance from Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band.
