FULL BLOOM FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL SELECTIONS FOR 2026 FESTIVAL
Statesville, NC — The Iredell Arts Council is proud to announce the Official Selections for the 2026 Full Bloom Film Festival, taking place September 10–12, 2026, in downtown Statesville, North Carolina.
Now entering its eleventh year, the Full Bloom Film Festival continues its tradition of showcasing exceptional independent filmmaking from around the world while creating meaningful connections between filmmakers and audiences. The 2026 festival will feature 55 films spanning animation, documentary shorts, narrative shorts, documentary features, and narrative features. The lineup includes 18 international films representing 11 countries, highlighting stories and perspectives from across the globe.
This year's selections explore themes of resilience, identity, family, creativity, social justice, and the human experience. From powerful documentaries and thought-provoking narratives to imaginative animated works, the festival offers something for every film lover.
"Each year we are amazed by the creativity, artistry, and storytelling represented in our submissions," said Brandon Sproul, Full Bloom Film Festival Film Selection Chair. "The 2026 selections reflect the power of film to connect people across cultures, spark meaningful conversations, and inspire audiences. We are excited to welcome filmmakers and film enthusiasts from around the world to Statesville this September."
Festival attendees can look forward to three days of screenings, filmmaker Q&A sessions, and special events designed to celebrate the art of independent filmmaking.
The Full Bloom Film Festival has grown into one of North Carolina's premier independent film festivals, attracting filmmakers and visitors from around the world while contributing to the cultural and economic vitality of downtown Statesville.
