Indigenous Singer-Songwriter Charly Lowry to Perform January 22nd
Statesville, NC — The Iredell Arts Council (IAC) continues its commitment to bringing original, high-quality music to downtown Statesville with a live performance by Charly Lowry on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 7:30–9:00 PM, at the Iredell Arts Council, 203 South Meeting Street.
Charly Lowry is an Indigenous singer-songwriter from Pembroke, NC, and a proud member of the Lumbee/Tuscarora Tribes. Known for her powerful, soulful voice and compelling storytelling, Lowry blends Motown, southern gospel, and contemporary roots music with acoustic/electric guitar and Native American hand drum. She is a former lead singer of the multi-award-winning band Dark Water Rising and has toured internationally, collaborating with artists including Pura Fé and Rhiannon Giddens.
Through intimate performances like this one, IAC is focused on presenting artists whose work is deeply original and rooted in lived experience. Lowry’s music honors tradition while speaking directly to the present, creating performances that resonate far beyond the stage.
This concert will take place in the Iredell Arts Council’s listening-room-style venue, offering an up-close setting to fully appreciate original music. Only a few tickets remain.

Concert Poster Design
Caroline’s first poster for the series debuts with the Charly Lowry concert.
Describing her approach, Caroline shares, “I love using minimal shapes and bold colors to tell a story, and I hope to bring that to each piece in this series.”
The design sets the tone for the 2026 poster collection and captures the spirit of the music it represents.
