Ohio born, but has lived in North Carolina now for over half my life.  Studied at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Ohio, I was always drawn - as many artists are - to the way to convey light with paint.  Especially muted, melancholy and subdued light.  Seeing the way UK painter George Shaw elevates the mundane inspires me.  The mundanity in my life, I hold very dear and find beautiful.  These pieces are my celebration of that

Peter O’Reilly

Peter O’Reilly began exploring photography in his thirties and embraced it as a serious art form around age sixty. A long-time member of the Mooresville Art Gallery, he has exhibited widely, including his own solo show and recent participation in the Mooresville Fine Arts Exhibition. His work spans landscapes, cityscapes, and creative experiments with light and everyday imagery.
