Art in the Park returns to Statesville on June 6 with two stages of music, 55 artists, and more
Creativity will take center stage when Art in the Park returns to Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Saturday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing together artists, musicians, food vendors, and families for one of Iredell County's most vibrant community arts celebrations.
Presented by the City of Statesville Recreation & Economic Vitality in partnership with the Iredell Arts Council, the annual festival transforms the park into a celebration of creativity with live music, local art, food trucks, hands-on activities, artist demonstrations, and community experiences designed for all ages.
Held beneath the park's tree canopy at 911 Lakewood Drive in Statesville, Art in the Park celebrates artistic expression, community connection, and the diverse creative voices that make Iredell County unique.
Visitors can browse 55 artist and artisan booths featuring handmade goods, fine art, pottery, jewelry, fiber arts, woodworking, photography, and more. This year's festival also introduces Juried Row, presented by Mooresville Arts — a curated gallery-style section featuring 10 selected artists.
Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy live art demonstrations, including pottery wheel throwing and hand-building workshops hosted by Create Pottery Studio, as well as felt art demonstrations presented by Mooresville Arts. Family-friendly creative activities will be offered by community partners including the Iredell County Public Library, Iredell Museums, Statesville Pride Alliance, and Statesville Recreation & Economic Vitality.
Festivalgoers will also have the opportunity to watch Kannapolis-based artist Sheree Davidson create large-scale chalk art live throughout the event. Davidson's work focuses on connection, storytelling, and community engagement through public art.
Live music will take place across two stages throughout the afternoon. The Amphitheater Stage will feature Emanuel Wynter, the Iredell Rhythm Experience, and festival headliner Florencia & the Feeling, while the Pond Stage showcases local and regional musicians.
